The Impact of Digital Transformation on Improving the Quality of Faculty Performance at Yarmouk University from the Students' Perspective

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the impact of digital transformation on enhancing the quality of faculty performance at Yarmouk University from the students’ perspective. The descriptive survey methodology was employed, and data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 21 items, covering two domains: digital learning in the educational process and quality in higher education. The validity and reliability of the instrument were verified. The study sample comprised 156 male and female students from Yarmouk University, selected randomly. The findings indicated that the impact of digital transformation on improving faculty performance quality, as perceived by the study participants, was rated as high across all domains. The researchers recommended the continuous renewal, development, and modernization of the educational environment to facilitate the teaching of artificial intelligence techniques and various related models, with considerable efforts directed toward achieving quality in education. The originality of this study lies in its focus on exploring the effect of digital transformation on faculty performance quality at Yarmouk University from the students’ perspective, thereby contributing a novel scientific dimension by linking digital transformation with higher education quality in the Jordanian context.
