The Level of Job Happiness among Public School Teachers in Jerash Governorate from Their Point of View

The aim of this study was to identify the level of job happiness among public school teachers in Jerash governorate from their perspective, and to know the impact of variables (sex, educational qualification, years of experience) at that level, a descriptive survey approach was used, a questionnaire was also used as a tool to collect the necessary data to achieve the objectives of the study, the study sample consisted of (346) teachers, selected by a simple random method, The results of the study showed that the level of job happiness among public school teachers in Jerash governorate from the point of view of the teachers themselves was a moderate, The results, further, indicated that there were no significant statistical differences at (α=0.05) in sample's estimates of the level of job happiness among public school teachers in Jerash governorate due to (sex, educational qualification, years of experience) variables. The originality of this study is evident in its focus on job happiness among public school teachers in Jerash Governorate, as a contemporary professional psychological variable that has not received sufficient attention in recent local studies. Its novelty derives from its treatment of this concept in light of contemporary educational trends that link teacher happiness to the quality of job performance and the outcomes of the educational process. Its results may contribute to bridging a research gap by providing modern field data that can be used in developing educational policies that support teachers.
