The Effectiveness of GHOSHEH’S Model in Creating Open Learning Resources to Develop Learners’ Digital Skills

This study aims to represent the effectiveness of GHOSHEH’S model in creating open learning resources to develop the learners’ digital skills. This model is based on serial pyramid steps and procedures, starting with choosing an open learning resource connected to the learning content, then meditating on it, writing the meditations, and presenting them. Following that, a life issue related to the content is presented, and in order to solve it, groups of learners must create open learning resources and publish them globally.
This study also aims to reveal the effectiveness of this model in developing the learners’ digital skills from the point of view of the teachers who had training on this model and used it with their students. The researcher used qualitative research to collect the data; The qualitative interview protocol was used to collect the data from the teachers, as the study had focused on collecting it through interviews and collecting the various opinions of the concerned participants, then using the hypothesis samples to choose the study sample which consisted of 10 math and science teachers affiliated with the Professional Diploma in Teaching at the National Institute in Ramallah. Then the data was collected in a specialized format for each member of this study. After that, the data was analyzed and the results were concluded. The results of the study showed that GHOSHEH’S model is contributing to the development of a lot of the learners’ digital skills, such as producing digital content, e-marketing for it, designing advertisements through designing programs, using social media sites to publish the advertisements, designing YouTube sites to publish the open learning resources, and training how to license and publish them internationally.
As a result, the researcher recommended to adopt GHOSHEH’S from to create open learning resources in the curriculum so as to design a content that enhances the digital skills for the learners to become producers of knowledge and participants in the digital world industry.
